Privacy Policy

Who I am

This website is operated by Scott Hazlitt, an independent AI coach based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What I collect

Contact inquiries

When you submit the contact form, I collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your experience level with AI tools
• Your preferred session format
• Your topic of interest
• Any additional details you provide in your message

Your IP address is temporarily used to enforce rate limiting (maximum 3 submissions per 10 minutes) and is not stored beyond that purpose.

Coaching clients

If you become a coaching client, I store additional information to manage your program:

• Your name and email address
• Intake questionnaire responses
• Session schedule, titles, and status
• Homework assignments and submissions
• Transaction status (processed through Stripe)

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics for basic, privacy-friendly page view tracking. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. No advertising trackers or third-party cookies are used on this site.

Why I collect it

Contact form data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if applicable, to schedule coaching sessions. Coaching client data is used to deliver and manage your program — scheduling sessions, assigning and reviewing homework, and sending automated reminders. I do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.

Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

• Vercel — hosting and deployment (servers in North America)
• Supabase — database and authentication. Stores contact inquiries and, for coaching clients, profile and session data.
• Resend — email delivery for inquiry confirmations, session reminders, and coaching program communications
• Stripe — transaction processing for coaching programs. I do not store your full card details; Stripe handles the transaction records directly.

I encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you have concerns.

Client portal

Coaching clients have access to a private portal on this site. Access is granted via an invite link sent to your email address, which authenticates you through Supabase Auth. No passwords are stored on this site.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are stored in my database for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence. Coaching client data is retained for the duration of your program and for a reasonable period afterward. You may request deletion at any time (see Your rights below).

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information I hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw consent for its use

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
